Does acupuncture hurt?
Most patients are surprised by how comfortable acupuncture feels. The needles used are extremely thin—much finer than needles used for injections or blood draws. Many people feel little or nothing during insertion.
Some patients notice sensations such as warmth, tingling, heaviness, or gentle movement of energy during treatment. Many people find acupuncture sessions deeply relaxing.

Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. When performed by a licensed and properly trained practitioner using sterile, single-use needles, acupuncture is considered a safe treatment option.
Qi Oasis follows Washington State licensing requirements and professional standards to provide safe, individualized care.
What should I wear to an acupuncture appointment?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended. Clothing that allows access to areas such as the arms, legs, back, and abdomen is helpful.
If needed, appropriate draping and clinic linens are provided to ensure comfort and privacy during treatment.
Do you accept insurance for acupuncture?
Insurance Welcome! Qi Oasis is in-network with select insurance plans, including Aetna, CHPW & CHPW Apple Health (Medicaid), First Choice Health Network, Lifewise, Optum Health, Premera, Regence, UnitedHealthcare, Uniform Medical Plan, and PIP (Auto Accident Claims).
Insurance coverage varies by individual plan. Patients are responsible for understanding their benefits, deductibles, visit limitations, and any services not covered by their insurance. Please reach out with questions about your insurance.
Do you accept Medicare?
No. Qi Oasis does not participate with Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans.
